Cardiovascular Associates of America has acquired a Florida-based cardiovascular group with a team of 26 cardiologists working out of three locations. 

The company has seen significant improvements in revenue and the number of centers actively using its technology.

Almost all of the country's top 25 highest-paying jobs are physicians, according to new data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The deal represents a significant addition to Abbott’s cardiovascular portfolio.

This represents the second significant deal US Heart and Vascular has announced in the last month. The first was a partnership with an established Dallas-based cardiology practice. 

American Vascular Associates believes the new investments from Petra Capital Partners and Canopy Capital Partners should help it keep up with the rising demand of outpatient treatment options. 

The doctor received two years’ probation for assaulting and threatening to kill his wife. His wife also sued him over this abuse, with the courts ruling that she was owed more than $600,000. 

Scott Huennekens, who has more than 25 years of experience in the medical device industry, is the second addition Elucid has made to its board of directors in the last six months.
