Best in KLAS: Merge sweeps top cardiology honors

Merge Healthcare claimed four awards—including the distinctions of Segment and Category Leader in cardiology—in the Best in KLAS 2015/2016 honors, announced this morning via press release.

The annual awards from the healthcare technology research firm recognize the top-performing companies and software products within specific healthcare segments according to customer feedback.

The company’s Merge Hemo software was awarded the title of KLAS Category Leader in cardiology hemodynamics for the fifth consecutive year, while its Merge Cardio software took the top prize in cardiology for the fourth year in a row. Merge Unity RIS and Merge’s iConnect Enterprise Archive were also named Best in KLAS in the radiology and VNA/image archive categories, respectively.

“That fact that four of Merge’s solutions were singled out for recognition by KLAS is rewarding and a direct reflection of our close client collaborations that enable us to build on our successes and continue exceeding expectations even as needs change,” said Merge CEO Justin Dearborn on the company’s blog. “Being named a top solution year after year reaffirms that Merge is playing a key role in shaping the future of imaging management.”

Other notable winners included Epic, who earned the ranking of number one Overall Software Suite for the sixth consecutive year, and Impact Advisors, named best Overall IT Services Firm for the fourth year in a row.

“We commend all the vendors who strive to improve their products and services in order to provide the best possible healthcare,” KLAS said in the announcement. “It is truly a joint effort.”
