Aurobino receives FDA nod for generic hypertension drug
Aurobindo Pharma has received approval from the FDA for Fosinopril Sodium and hydrochlorothiazide (HCT) tablets, a generic equivalent of Bristol-Myers Squibb's ACE inhibitor Monopril HCT.

The Hyderabad, India-based company said its Fosinopril Sodium and HCT Tablets USP 10/12.5mg and 20/12.5mg is the generic equivalent to Monopril HCT tablets 10/12.5mg and 20/12.5mg of Bristol-Myers. Fosinopril Sodium and HCT Tablets are indicated for hypertension and fall under the cardiovascular system therapeutic segment. Aurobindo said it will launch the product shortly in the U.S.
