ZOLL Medical's Code-Ready defibrillator, the R Series, for hospital defibrillation.
Zoll Medical (Booth 307) is unveiling its new R series code-ready defibrillator for hospitals-R Series BLS and R Series Plus. The R Series Plus, which has both automated external defibrillator (AED) and ALS capabilities at the touch of a button, also has networking capabilities and See-Thru CPR. Both the BLS and Plus models are 510(k) pending. R Series models can use wireless networking to ensure code-readiness.  Based on standard 802.11b WiFi technology, the R Series sends a status of its state of readiness at a programmed time.

The company also is featuring the AutoPulse support pump, the LifeVest wearable defibrillator and CodeNet software. The AutoPulse non-invasive cardiac support pump is a portable device with a load-distributing LifeBand that squeezes the entire chest, improving blood flow to the heart and brain during sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). AutoPulse delivers chest compressions to maintain myocardial and cerebral perfusion. The LifeVest Wearable Defibrillator, worn by patients at risk for SCA, monitors the patient's heart and, if a life-threatening heart rhythm is detected, the device alerts the patient prior to delivering a shock. The device releases a conductive gel onto the therapy electrodes to protect the skin, then delivers a shock to restore normal heart rhythm. CodeNet is a software system that allows hospital teams to document, manage and review cardiac arrest event and resuscitation information. The system timestamps logged events and synchronizes these times with defibrillator data.
