DuPage Medical Group acquires cardiology practice

DuPage Medical Group of Naperville, Ill., a multispecialty physician practice, acquired Cardiovascular Consultants, also of Naperville.

Four cardiologists will join the DuPage group: James P. Ostrenga, MD, an interventional cardiologist who founded Cardiovascular Consultants in 1988; Mark Ottolin, MD, also an interventional cardiologist and chair of the Department of Medicine at Edward Hospital; Sharon Cline, MD, an interventional cardiologist; and Sujith Kalathiveetil, MD, a clinical cardiologist. Their practice has been treating Chicago-area patients for more than 25 years.

Ostrenga said in a press release he welcomed the merger. “DuPage Medical Group has administrative resources, expertise and a philosophy of patient care, which made our merger logical and very exciting.”
