Siemens expands Acuson line of ultrasound systems
Siemens Healthcare has released the Acuson S1000 ultrasound system.

The Acuson S1000 is capable of performing 27 different exam types and accommodates various patients and body types, according to the Malvern, Pa.-based healthcare technology developer.

Among the features supported by the system are strain imaging capabilities with eSie Touch, elasticity imaging, contrast-enhanced ultrasound with Cadence contrast pulse sequencing technology and intracardiac echocardiography using the Acuson AcuNav ultrasound catheter.
