Siemens, NextGen rekindle alliance for ambulatory IT
Siemens Healthcare has renewed its strategic alliance with EHR/practice management company NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Systems, to deliver ambulatory IT software.

More than 35 Siemens customers have already deployed the Horsham-Pa.-based NextGen’s ambulatory IT tools throughout their physician networks as a result of the relationship, Siemens said.

According to Siemens, the ambulatory application enables providers to access health information between acute and ambulatory settings and helps users create and maintain complete medical records while providing disease management capabilities and assisting the management of outcomes data.
