CardioNet taps new CFO

CardioNet, a wireless medical technology company focused on cardiac arrhythmias, has named Heather C. Getz senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), effective Jan. 15.

Getz, who was previously vice president of finance at the Conshohocken, Pa.-based CardioNet, succeeds Marty P. Galvan, who left the company to pursue other career opportunities.

Prior to joining CardioNet in May 2009, Getz was vice president of finance at Alita Pharmaceuticals, a specialty pharmaceutical company. CardioNet also noted that Getz has held several financial management positions at Viasys Healthcare and Sunoco.
