Boston Scientific completed its acquisition of Bard EP, the electrophysiology unit of C.R. Bard.

Natick, Mass.-based Boston Scientific announced in June that it planned to buy Bard’s electrophysiology business for $275 million in cash.

Boston Scientific said the acquisition was part of a strategy to enhance its portfolio of cardiac catheter ablation technologies and other EP tools. Bard EP specializes in advanced therapeutic catheters, diagnostic catheters, electrophysiology recording systems and intracardiac access devices.
