Bard gains angio products by buying ClearStream for $68.5M
ClearStream Technologies of County Wexford, Ireland, has agreed to be acquired by C.R. Bard of Murray Hill, N.J., for approximately $68.5 million in cash.

ClearStream develops and manufactures minimally invasive medical devices such as catheters and stents that are used in interventional procedures. Bard’s business spans vascular, urology, oncology and surgical specialty products.

Timothy Ring, Bard’s chairman and CEO, said in a statement that the purchase would allow the company to strengthen its "leadership” in vascular medical devices.
