VasCore Training & Education Center (VTEC) opens in downtown Boston

BOSTON, April 21, 2015 – Today the founders of VasCore, The Vascular Ultrasound Core Laboratory, announce the opening of the VasCore Training & Education Center (VTEC). This first-of-its-kind center in downtown Boston offers multimodality clinical trial image training, as well as an interactive meeting space for healthcare professionals in cardiovascular medicine. With decades of expertise, the VTEC team provides hands-on, customized training using the latest image technology and educational techniques required by medical device and pharmaceutical clinical trial sponsors, technologists and physician investigators.
 
VTEC will address a critical need to drive innovation and training in vascular therapies, as vascular disease is projected for significant growth in the coming years. In fact, nearly one in two people will suffer from vascular disease in their lifetime due to an aging population, as well as a greater prevalence in obesity and Type II diabetes.[i] By 2024, it is estimated that vascular disease will take the lives of over two million Americans.
