SpringBoard Healthcare Launches Cath Lab, EP and IR Wage Survey

September 21, 2016SpringBoard Healthcare is now taking responses for its nationwide wage survey of nurses, technicians and specialists working in cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology (EP) and interventional radiology labs. Considered the gold standard of wage surveys for the industry, it is designed to gather comprehensive insight into the salaries and wages of employees in that sector. The results, based on data from thousands of participants, highlight salary and wage differences by job type, experience, facility type, credentials and state and region.

The survey results provide valuable information, to those working in the field, that can be used to make important decisions about compensation, continuing education, certification and career path. Using the data, workers may decide to seek a raise, earn credentials or pursue other work arrangements. Here are a few key findings from the last survey:

* 30 percent of respondents said they received a pay increase for earning credentials

* 63 percent reported that their employer reimbursed for certification expenses

* RNs working in combination labs earned higher wages than those working in EP or Cath Labs

* Traveling workers earned significantly higher wages compared to non-traveling workers across all regions

“Nurses, techs and specialists working in busy cardiovascular labs don’t often have the time or the right tools to fully explore compensation and get a clear understanding as to whether their wage is competitive or not,” said Gavin Hays, CEO of SpringBoard Healthcare. “Our wage survey provides them with the big picture, giving them a quick, at-a-glance view into valuable data that can help them understand if their compensation is competitive and assist them in making important career decisions,” he noted.

Participants in the survey will receive a personal copy of the 2016-2017 Cath Lab, EP and IR Wage Survey results. The survey can be accessed here: http://svy.mk/2d9pBlQ. It closes on October 15, 2016 and results will be available in January 2017.
