NovaRad inks California PACS contracts

Pioneer Medical Group in Cerritos, Calif., and Healthpointe Medical Group in LaMirada, Calif., have signed agreements to purchase the NovaPACS product from NovaRad.

Selected for its web and standards-based platform, NovaPACS integrates with the centers' existing technologies, offering radiologists to read images on and off site. NovaPACS provides radiologists with a mouse-driven viewer for unimpeded image viewing along with voice annotation, set synch, MIPS/MPR, hanging protocols, measuring tools, customizable menus, saved preferences, stat reads, and check-out and e-sign, according to the American Fork, Utah-based company.

The firm said its NovaPACS system offers a seven-year, onsite archive with offsite emergency backup.
