Rami Doukky, MD, MSc

Rami Doukky, MD, MSc, is the chairman of cardiology at Cook County Health and professor of Medicine, Preventive Medicine and Radiology at Rush Medical College, in Chicago. A graduate of Aleppo University Medical School in Aleppo, Syria, and Rush University, Dr. Doukky trained in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine at Cook County Hospital. He is board certified in cardiovascular medicine, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and cardiovascular computed tomography, and is the recipient of several awards for teaching, clinical excellence and research.  

Dr. Doukky leads a systemwide collaboration of multidisciplinary team of cardiovascular specialists, advanced practice providers, nurses, technologists and administrators. He has published many textbook chapters and more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers in leading medical journals. He is an associate editor for the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology and a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology: Cardiovascular Imaging. He also is on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
