Edwards names Leslie Heisz to board of directors

Leslie S. Heisz, a veteran investment banker, was named to Edwards Lifesciences Corporation’s board of directors on July 5.

Heisz has worked at Salomon Brothers, Wasserstein Perella & Co. and Lazard Freres & Co. and served on numerous boards of directors. She is currently a board member of Kaiser Permanente and Ingram Micro, an electronics company and wholesale technology products distributor. She recently finished a stint as a board member of Towers Watson, a consulting firm.

“Leslie brings a unique blend of experience across a number of industries and encompassing a variety of disciplines, and her insights into the changing healthcare and global business environments will be important as Edwards continues to develop new therapies to help patients around the world,” Edwards CEO and chairman Michael A. Mussallem said in a news release. “The addition of Leslie to our talented board will further strengthen our diversity of thought and leadership of our company as we execute our long-term strategy.”
