NovaRad unveils breast imaging viewer
NovaRad has released its NovaMG breast imaging viewer that combines the tool set of NovaPACS with customizable mammographic reading and hanging protocol sequences.

The viewer enables receipt of digital mammographic images from the modality while pre-fetching from the PACS archive is initiated via DICOM modality worklist. FDA 510(k) cleared and IHE compliant, it supports multi-modality viewing and iCAD and R2 structured reports, according to the American Fork, Utah-based company.

NovaRad said NovaMG, offered as an option to its existing radiologist view stations, incorporates Tabár's systematic viewing masks to enhance perception of radiographic abnormalities. NovaMG populates the diagnostic findings to a mammography reporting system and facilitates worklist synchronization for recall-report exporting from either the RIS or mammography reporting system, the company said.
