Integration deal weds Michigan Heart, IHA

The physician group IHA and Michigan Heart planned to be fully integrated by June 29, the two groups announced. The integration will expand IHA to 335 physicians at 54 practices across southeastern Michigan.

The two organizations have collaborated in the past. IHA offers a primary and specialty care network and Michigan Heart provides cardiac specialty and subspecialty services. After the integration, cardiologists, endovascular specialists and cardiovascular, vascular and endovascular surgeons and will share a medical record and medical group operating structures. They also will launch a new cardiovascular service line. 

Michigan Heart, a member of Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, employs 33 physicians, 14 advanced practitioners and 200 professionals in Washtenaw, Jackson, Livingston, Monroe and Wayne counties.

IHA is an operating subsidiary of the Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, a member of CHE Trinity Health. IHA's employed physician, nursing and support staff totals more than 1,500 professionals.
