Milton Lloyd Godley, one of the first cardiologists in Alexandria, Louisiana, died April 15 at 88 years old, reports The Town Talk.
Godley practiced at several hospitals in the area since he arrived in 1968. When he died, he was serving on the Foundation Board of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and was a board member at Louisiana College.
He helped educate other doctors in the area on emerging technology that has become part of standard practices in cardiology, using devices like balloons and stents.
