Fresenius snaps up National Cardiovascular Partners

The dialysis company Fresenius is acquiring National Cardiovascular Partners for an undisclosed amount.

National Cardiovascular Partners works with physicians to create independent outpatient cardiac catheterization and vascular laboratories. According to the company, physicians can retain a majority ownership in the lab.

Fresenius Medical Care specializes in dialysis products and services for treating patients with chronic kidney disease. It has more than 2,150 dialysis facilities in North America and 3,335 dialysis clinics worldwide.

The acquisition will be funded by cash and debt financing. Fresenius expects to generate more than $200 million in revenue in 2015 from the deal.
