Emageon to supply cardiovascular PACS for Novation
Emageon, an enterprise medical information technology systems company for hospitals and healthcare networks, has signed a multi-year contract with Novation, the contracting services company of VHA, the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) and Provista, to supply cardiovascular PACS products & services. Emageon made the announced Tuesday morning at the 93rd annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago.

Under the terms of the agreement, Emageon will supply its HeartSuite VERICIS cardiovascular image and information management solution (CVIIS) – both its hardware and software services. The Birmingham, Ala.-based Emageon said it will also supply project management, IS/IT & systems interfacing, installation and a Novation is an Irving, Texas-based healthcare contracting services company, delivering to nearly 2,500 members of VHA and the UHC, two national healthcare alliances and more than 10,000 customers of Provista, formerly known as Healthcare Purchasing Partners International.

The agreement’s duration will span from Feb. 1, 2008 to April 30, 2010, and includes two optional one-year extension periods.
