Prior to that Dr. Garratt spent 17 years at the Mayo Clinic and was a member of the team of physicians who first performed minimally invasive heart procedures there.

Dr. Garratt also serves as the president of The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, which promotes excellence in invasive and interventional cardiovascular medicine through education and representation, and the advancement of quality standards to enhance patient care.
