American Society of Echocardiography
American Society of Echocardiography (Booth 2662) is highlighting its Echo ToolBox (ETB), developed as an assurance tool for labs and the trend of payors linking accreditation to reimbursement. It expedites the lab accreditation process with the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL). ETB, a web-based product, enhances cardiovascular ultrasound lab quality and facilitates the accreditation process.  ETB provides labs with tips, warnings, continuing medical education credit managers, quality assurance tutorials and sample worksheets. In addition, ETB’s features are “wizards” that walk labs through creating policies and protocols to improve its ability to meet ICAEL minimum standards.
