Spacelabs to distribute Uscom ultrasonic cardiac output monitors
Spacelabs Healthcare and Uscom have signed a distribution agreement, giving Spacelabs exclusive distribution of the Uscom 1A ultrasonic cardiac output monitor in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa and India.

Uscom 1A offers real-time measurements of 20 parameters of cardiovascular function including cardiac output, stroke volume and systemic vascular resistance with additional parameters, such as cardiac power, stroke work and oxygen delivery, according to the Issaquah, Wash.-based Spacelabs and Sydney, Australia-based Uscom. The patent-protected monitor is non-invasive and validated across a range of cardiac outputs in neonates, infants, children and adults. Its transducers use continuous-wave Doppler technology to measure cardiac flow.
