FDA clears Ziosoft cardiac CT advanced viz features
Ziosoft, a provider of advanced visualization and analysis software for medical imaging, has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA to market two additional applications for use with its Ziostation thin-client system.
Both the cardiac function analysis and calcium scoring applications can be accessed throughout the enterprise on the Ziostation thin-client system to provide physicians with real-time collaboration when assessing results from a cardiac CT scan, the company said.
The Redwood, Calif.-based Ziosoft said its calcium scoring application features tools for the clinician such as concurrent reading of the calcium analysis adjacent to the original data set. The cardiac function application allows physicians to conduct a cardiac functional assessment and includes Ziosoft's tools, such as left ventricle segmentation, peak filling rate and peak ejection rate, in addition to functional assessment calculations.
