AngioDynamics expands power-injectable port line
AngioDynamics has expanded its line of power-injectable ports, Smart Port CT, to include low-profile and mini models for repeat treatments and use with CT.

The Smart Port CT Mini power-injectable port is designed to be the smallest profile power-injectable port with a large septum diameter for chest or peripheral placement, stated the Latham, N.Y.-based company. The new Smart Port CT Low-Profile power-injectable port is designed with a 6.6 French diameter catheter.

Both new models, which have received FDA approval and the CE Mark in Europe, also include Vortex port technology to aid in the prevention of dead spaces and the formation of sludge, said AngioDynamics.
