Vasomedical releases iPhone app for EECP therapy
Vasomedical has released the iPhone for its Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP) therapy application, which provides current and potential patients, physicians, therapists and other interested parties with a mobile source of information and support materials for EECP therapy. EECP is an FDA-cleared technology for noninvasive treatment of certain cardiovascular diseases.
The EECP therapy iPhone application, available free at Apple Software’s iPhone App Store, allows patients, physicians and therapists to obtain information on patient selection, clinical guidelines for treatment and user tools to optimize treatment, the company said.
In addition, the iPhone application includes a Treatment Locator which, based on the iPhone user's current location or an inputted ZIP code, pinpoints the locations of the closest EECP treatment centers in the U.S., said the Westbury, N.Y.-based Vasomedical.
