Willow Short, a 2-year-old who underwent a heart transplant when she was a few weeks old, was found dead in her Pennsylvania home in an apparent murder-suicide, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Her parents, Mark and Megan, and two siblings also died.
Willow Short was born with a congenital heart defect, and her story was featured in the New York Times and other publications. According to the Inquirer, authorities found a handgun near one of the deceased adults and a murder-suicide note in their home in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania.
