Cardiac Science introduces new diagnostic workstation
Cardiac Science, a developer of automated external defibrillator and diagnostic cardiac monitoring devices, has expanded its ECG and cardiac stress product line with CareCenter MD, a multimodality PC-based diagnostic workstation designed for physician practices.

According to the Bothell, Wash.-based company, the CareCenter MD diagnostic workstation features:
  • Wireless data acquisition: A Bluetooth connection between the patient and the diagnostic workstation;
  • Connectivity: Physicians can read, analyze and confirm patient tests from anywhere with an internet connection. While EMRs are not required to view data with CareCenter MD, the company said records can be transferred to an EMR if desired; and
  • Shared patient database: Data for both ECG and stress tests are stored in the same database and can be accessed and reviewed.
