Mary C. Tierney, Vice President & Chief Content Officer
Mary joined TriMed Media in 2002. She was the founding editor and editorial director of Health Imaging, Cardiovascular Business, Molecular Imaging Insight and CMIO, now known as Clinical Innovation + Technology. Prior to TriMed, Mary was the editorial director of HealthTech Publishing Company, where she had worked since 1991. While there, she oversaw four magazines and related online media, and piloted the launch of two magazines and websites. Mary holds a master’s in journalism from Syracuse University. She lives in East Greenwich, R.I., and when not working, she is usually running around after her family, taking photos or cooking.
Candace Stuart, Editor
Candace joined TriMed Media Group in 2011 as editor of Cardiovascular Business. She has worked as an editor and writer specializing in science and technology at several newspapers, news websites and magazines. Her previous positions include assistant business editor at the Detroit News and editor-in-chief at Small Times Media. She also has taught journalism at the University of Dayton, where she was director of media relations, and at Indiana University, where she earned a master’s degree in journalism. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Kenyon College. She lives in metro Detroit with her husband and two dogs and spends her free time volunteering at a nearby animal shelter.

Beth Walsh, Editor
Beth earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and master’s in health communication. She has worked in hospital, academic and publishing settings over the past 20 years, including the Harvard School of Public Health. Beth joined TriMed Media Group in 2005, and became editor of CMIO in October 2011, which was later renamed Clinical Innovation + Technology. Born in New York and raised in Wisconsin, Beth has lived in Massachusetts for 17 years. When not covering all things health IT-related, she spends time with her husband and three children.
Laura Pedulli, Staff Writer
Laura joined TriMedMedia Group in February 2013, bringing with her years of journalism experience in a variety of capacities, including news correspondent for the New-Bedford Standard Times, assistant news editor for a southern Mass. weekly newspaper and editor for FDA regulation manuals and newsletters at Thompson Information Services (formerly Thompson Publishing Group), a trade press publisher in Washington D.C. Laura received her B.A. from American University. Before settling down in Fairhaven, Mass., Laura resided in Colorado, Washington, D.C. and California—with brief stints in France and Mexico. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, genealogy research and spending time outdoors.
Lena Kauffman, Editor
Lena joined TriMed Media in 2013. Prior to TriMed, she was the web editor for the ImagingBiz family of publications, writing news and commentaries for radiology professionals. She is a former editor for Sleep Review magazine and Home Health Care Dealer/Provider. In addition, she was a public affairs editor and writer for the Palo Alto Medical Foundation for three years. A graduate of the Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism, Lena has a deep interest in health care policy and legislation. When not reading updates from the Federal Register, she enjoys spending time with her three children and husband, traveling and volunteering as the social media person for her children's elementary school PTO. She lives in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Evan Godt, Editor
Evan joined TriMed Media Group in 2011, writing primarily for Health Imaging. Prior to diving into medical journalism, Evan worked for the Nine Network of Public Media in St. Louis, supporting the network’s immigration-focused media initiative and documentary, “Homeland.” He also has worked in public relations and education. Born in the suburbs outside of St. Louis, Evan studied journalism at the University of Missouri, with an emphasis on broadcast media. He currently lives in New York City with his wife.

Anna joined TriMed Media Group in 2013 after graduating from Stonehill College with a bachelor's degree in English and Gender and Sexuality Studies. She was the Editorial and Creative Services intern at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston during her schooling, which sparked her interest in healthcare communications. Born and raised in Rhode Island, Anna currently lives in East Greenwich, R.I. with her family and boyfriend. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, reading and writing.
Claudette Lew, Associate Editor
Claudette Lew joined TriMed Media group in 2014, she was editor of Human Milk Quarterly, a corporate publication she created and launched at Medela, Inc. and Imaging Life, which she launched and edited for Siemens Molecular Imaging. She has an extensive background in the healthcare field in public relations, clinical writing and marketing communications, and has worked with several medical professional organizations including The College of American Pathologists and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. She holds an MBA as well as a bachelor’s degree in French from Dominican University. She lives in the suburbs of Chicago with her husband, children and three dogs. When she’s not in the kitchen trying to master a new recipe, she enjoys traveling with her husband and family.
Kathy Fay Mahdoubi, Managing Editor
Kathy Fay was recruited to the TriMed team in 2013 as editor of Molecular Imaging. She has a bachelor of arts degree in editorial journalism from the University of Washington in Seattle and has written about scientific research for numerous media outlets including Houston Chronicle, The Seattle Times and DOTmed Business News, as well as medical non-profits such as the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI), the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) and the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR). Her hometown is Anchorage, Alaska, but she has made Houston, Texas, her fair-weather residence. She plays harp, sings in a choir and publishes poetry informed by her science writing in her spare time.

Cheryl Proval, Vice President of Publishing, imagingBiz
Cheryl joined TriMed Media in 2014 and has covered the specialty of radiology for 15 years, first as editor of Decisions in Imaging Economics, and, since 2007, as the founding editor of Radiology Business Journal. She began her career in newspapers as an intern at the Wilmington News Journal and has worked in publishing ever since. She earned a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Delaware. Cheryl lives in Los Angeles with her husband and enjoys reading, film, yoga, and, especially, her vegetable garden.
